Glenn Crossman

Director of Programs

Glenn Crossman is the Director of Programs for the University of Virginia Center for Politics. He develops, coordinates, and implements all events for the Center, including numerous conferences and special events as well as various research projects, documentaries and publications. He also oversees the Center’s vast collection of political memorabilia and digitized videos including new incoming donations.

Glenn has over 25 years’ experience in event planning, marketing, and public relations. He earned his B.S. in Management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. Glenn worked for over 20 years in the private club industry. After ten years at the Harvard Club of Boston, Glenn moved to Charlottesville to work for Glenmore Country Club in Keswick, Virginia.

Glenn graduated from the University of Virginia’s first Super Temp program. This program selects new college graduates as well as seasoned executives and helps them integrate into the workforce and culture at the University. He first worked as a temp for the Chief of Vascular Surgery at the Medical Center before being offered a position in HR in the Department of Medicine. Glenn came to the Center for Politics in the fall of 2012. He has a passion for political history and enjoys working on the Center’s yearly documentaries. The Center has earned a total of four Emmys since 2012.

Glenn has volunteered for several nonprofit organizations by serving on boards and co-chairing fund-raising events. In 2008 Glenn graduated from Leadership Charlottesville, an “economic development” initiative through the Charlottesville Chamber of Commerce to help build an active corps of engaged, dedicated civic leaders.
